I am an experienced accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor working in English and Spanish. As well as privately, I have worked with individuals and couples for the last 20 years, in different settings (NHS, University and voluntary sector).
My professional training includes:
A five year degree in Psychology with a focus on Applied Clinical Psychology; 1987-1992 Valencia University
An MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at Middlesex University; 1993-2002.
A Diploma in Clinical Supervision, Gestalt Centre, London; 2014
A Certificate in Couples Therapy; 2017
In my work, I feel very passionate about helping people to make sense of the difficulties they may be experiencing in their lives, and looking at ways of overcoming them so that they can live in a more fulfilling and satisfying way.
Counselling and Psychotherapy gives the opportunity to talk and explore what you are struggling with in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental way which can be extremely helpful in itself and often marks the beginning of a process of discovery and change in yourself and your relationships with others.
Frequent Issues I work with:
Common life problems that arise as a result of life events such as work difficulties or life transitions (separation, loss, birth, major changes).
Lack of confidence, low self-steam, stress, anxiety and panic attacks, sexuality and relationship difficulties.
Depression and other mental health illnesses
Difficulties with transitions and living in a different culture, identity, communication and relationships difficulties.
Issues around difficulties conceiving, IVF, and pregnancy loss.
Services I offer:
Counselling and Psychotherapy for individuals and couples, short and long term, in English and Spanish.
Individual and group supervision for trainees, and qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
If you have a private healthcare insurance, you should be able to get some therapy sessions paid for. I am already a registered provider with BUPA, and am in the process of completing registrations with other insurers as well as EAPs (Employment Assistance Programmes).
My fees:
£60 for individual therapy (some concessions available)
£70 for couples therapy
