More about Reflexology

Reflexology is now widely recommended by some  (GPs)General Practitioners.

The treatment sessions usually lasts about 45 to 60 minutes depending on the conditions treated. As with most therapeutic treatments, on the first session the practitioner will take a detailed personal history before proceeding with the treatment, as there may be certain conditions where it would not be appropriate to choose a particular therapy or treatment.

Light but firm pressure is used to massage the soles and feet. Sometimes clients report some dramatic reaction after the first treatment such as increased bowel movements, cold type symptoms or skin problems which are considered to be healthy reactions to the release of harmful toxins from the body. It is also usual to experience some tenderness of the foot during the treatment of some areas.
